Pet import services
Importing a pet into the UK requires careful planning to ensure a smooth and compliant entry process. Whether you are relocating with your pet, returning to the UK after time abroad, or bringing in a newly purchased pet, it is important to understand the customs requirements, VAT regulations, and necessary documentation.
Entering by Border Control Post
If your pet falls into one of the following situations, it will need to go through a Border Control Post and have a veterinary check on arrival:
- You’re buying a puppy, kitten, dog or cat from abroad
- You’re rehoming a dog or cat from abroad
- Your pet is not travelling within five days of your own journey
- You are travelling with more than five pets and are not attending or training for a competition, show or sporting event.
In these cases, your pet must be accompanied by an Annex I GB Health Certificate, as required under the Pet Travel Scheme.
Pet export services
When traveling to other countries with your pet, we can guide you through country regulations, arrange the necessary permits, and offer extras like overnight boarding and a pet taxi. We help with vet checks, book flights on trusted airlines, and provide IATA-approved travel kennels. We also handle all customs paperwork, and as a licensed IATA cargo agent, we issue our own air waybills—no middleman needed.
